Ultrasound Guided Injection of Joints and Tendons Dr Archer is trained and experienced in the application of ultrasound to assist in diagnosis of common musculoskeletal conditions and to guide injections into joints, tendons, tendon sheaths and bursae throughout all areas of the body with the exception of the spine.  He is also able to perform ultrasound-guided tendon lavage and aspiration to treat calcific tendinosis (a common condition where there are calcium deposits within a tendon).  This means that we don’t need to refer you to a radiologist for these procedures.  This works out to be quicker, more convenient and less expensive for our patients.
